Mönchgut Coastal Fishing Museum

The Mönchguter coastal fishing museum in Baabe shows the means of production of living on Moenchgut fishermen that were influential boat builder. The museum has since 2 June 2001.

The exhibits include, among others, the 9.20 m long motorboat " Ossi ". The community Baabe took it after its decommissioning in custody, as well as numerous other built in Baabe fishing boats. The museum also shows the so-called motor Reuse boats, including the Anlandungsboot " Polt " along with the original trap. Also at the exhibition include a herring sorting machine, information boards on fishing and boat building and personalities of the local fishery.

The museum is open all year.
