Mongo people

The Mongo are a Bantu people living in the Equateur province of the Democratic Republic of Congo in the northwest of the Congo Basin.

Dissemination

The Mongo include not only Bakongo, Lunda and youwill of the four main nations in the Congo, which constitute the largest part of the population. The Mongo speak different dialects of Lomongo (ISO -639 -3: lol), as well as the national lingua franca Lingala (ISO -639 -3: lin).
