Monica Anna Maria Bellucci, pronunciation: [ ' mɔnika ' anna ma'ria bel'lutt͡ʃi ]; ( Born September 30, 1964 in Città di Castello) is an Italian film actress.
Life
While studying law at the University of Perugia Bellucci earned her living as a model. In 1988 she went to Milan, was taken there by the Elite agency under contract and campaigned among others for Dolce & Gabbana. In 1990, she began her film career. Her first appearance in an American movie had it in Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992).
With the role in the French thriller Love and Lies (1996 ) she was nominated for the Star and for the French César film award. With Vincent Cassel, her film partner in love and lies, Dobermann, Brotherhood of the Wolf and Irreversible, she has been married since 1999.
