Monika Flašíková-Beňová

Monika Flašíková - Beňová ( born August 15, 1968 in Bratislava) is a Slovak politician ( SMER ).

Beňová studied political science faculty at the University of Banská Bystrica and earned the title of bachelor. She worked as an assistant director, and director general at different companies.

Beňová was 1999-2001 General Secretary of Smer and 2000-2004 deputy chairman of the party. She was from 2002 a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic and there Chairperson of the Committee for European Integration. In 2003, she was an observer in the European Parliament, before it became a full member in 2004.
