Monkey Bay

Monkey Bay is a natural harbor on the southern Malawi, a closed except for the water channel of the access bay.

There are only a few houses there. To the north of the Lake Malawi National Park extends to the tip of Cape Maclear peninsula. This park offers a very rocky terrain monkeys, especially baboons. Monkey Bay is regularly served by the ferry of the lake, the MS Ilala. From him comes from a paved road to Liwonde, where connection is made to the network of Malawian railway and the asphalt road to Zomba and Blantyre and Dedza and Lilongwe.
