Monoplane
A monoplane is an aircraft with a wing or a pair of wings, in contrast to a biplane or triplane. The vast majority of modern aircraft is designed as a monoplane.
Monoplane are classified according to the attachment of the wings to the fuselage (main criterion) in different types:
- Low-wing aircraft, the underside of the support surface flush with the underside of the hull
- Decker medium, the supporting surface is arranged in the middle of the hull sides
- Shoulder wing, the wing being arranged above the center of the hull sides
- High deck, the top of the support surface flush with the top of the hull
