Montes is a city in Uruguay.
Geography
It is located in the eastern part of the department of Canelones in its sector 9 In the east, the city is affected by the Arroyo Solís Grande, which also forms the border to Nachbardepartamento Lavalleja here. About 10 kilometers west of Montes is with Migues the nearest city.
History
On November 3, 1952 Montes was classified by Law No. 11,878 in the " Pueblo " category.

Montes has founded in March 1972 with the Liceo de Montes about a secondary school ( Liceo ).
