Montgomery is a city in Hamilton County and is located in the state of Ohio in the United States.
Geography
The town is located 15 kilometers northeast of Cincinnati and on the highways Interstate 71 and Interstate 275
History
The region of present-day Montgomery was originally inhabited by Indians. Once these have been expelled in 1794 by forces under General Anthony Wayne, the first settlers arrived in the area. This came from Montgomery in Orange County in upstate New York and named the newly populated place also Montgomery. The name goes back to Richard Montgomery. The first inhabitants lived mainly from agriculture. It was not until the 1960s, around the time of the near Cincinnati into an industrial city, the population of Montgomery grew significantly.

In 2009 there was a total population of 10,581 people, which means an increase over 2000 of 4.1%.
