The Sabatini Mountains (Italian Monti Sabatini ) are a mountain range in the Italian region of Lazio. It is located about 30 km north of Rome, between the valley of the Tiber River and the Tyrrhenian Sea. They enclose the Lake Bracciano.
The Sabatini mountains formed by the volcanic activity of Vulcano Sabatino in time 600000-40000 years ago. Even today, of which the crater of the caldera of Sacrofano and the Valle Baccano and the crater lakes of Lago di Martignano and the Lago di Monte Rosi. Hot mineral springs and gas emissions on its banks remain from volcanic origin.
