Montségur-sur-Lauzon

Montsegur -sur -Lauzon is a commune with 1190 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011 ) in the department of Drôme in the Rhône -Alpes; it belongs to the arrondissement of Nyons and the canton of Saint -Paul -Trois -Châteaux. The community was formerly called Saint- Raphaël.

Geography

The place lie in the Rhone valley and the river Lauzon.

Neighboring communities of Montsegur -sur -Lauzon are La Baume- de-Transit, Solérieux, Richerenches (Vaucluse ), Chamaret and Chantemerle- lès -Grignan. The municipality is crossed by the river Lauzon, which flows north from Bollène in the Canal de Donzère - Mondragon and thus in the Rhône.
