Monzón District
Monzón is a Peruvian district in the province in the department of Huánuco Huamalíes. It has 18,751 inhabitants ( as of 2007) and covers an area of 1521.39 km ². The district Monzón makes again and again by finds of illegally grown coca bushes and chemicals for the production of cocaine headlines.
State of Emergency 2011
On 14 September 2011 the Peruvian government established in the district from a 60 - day state of emergency due to criminal activities of former members of the organization Sendero Luminoso ( "shining path " ) in the region.
