Moor Express

The railway line Stade- Osterholz- Beck is a railway line in the Elbe -Weser Triangle in the northern Lower Saxony between the towns of Stade and Osterholz- Beck Bremervörde Gnarrenburg and Worpswede.

1978 regular passenger services were set on the track. Today runs from May to September weekends and holidays, tourist trains to a fixed schedule; in the winter half of the year will take place special trips. These trips operate under the name Moorexpress.

History

On October 15, 1907, the narrow-gauge railway Bremervörde Easter timber ( KBO ) was established to connect the dirt too much of Teufelsmoor to the railway. 1942, the company name in Bremervörde Easter Holzer railroad was changed. Route Bremervörde Easter wood

The railway line was opened in two parts: on 23 June 1909, the section of Bremervörde to Gnarrenburg and on 9 February 1911 by Gnarrenburg after Osterholz- Beck. The train left Osterholz- Beck five times a day toward Bremervörde. The management was itself taken over. At the beginning there were four two-axle locomotives, nine passenger cars two Post-/Gepäckwagen and 15 freight cars. Transport services

Route Bremervörde -Stade

On 1 October 1898, the distance between Bremervörde and Stade was taken as the first track to Bremervörde in operation. This track was owned by the state and operated by the respective State Railways. Attractions

Museum operations

From May to October there is regular traffic of four pairs of trains with historic railcar on all Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The journey between Bremervörde and Stade is 50 minutes between Bremervörde and Bremen two hours.
