Morcourt (Somme)
Morcourt is a northern French village with 277 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in the department of Somme in the Picardie region. The municipality is part of the Canton of Bray- sur -Somme and is part of the Communauté de communes du Val de Somme.
Geography
The municipality is located in Santerre about 13.5 km to the east of Corbie and 13.5 km south of Albert on the left bank of the meandering here Somme opposite Chipilly and extends south to the department of road D1029 ( former Route nationale 29).
History
The municipality received the Croix de guerre as a distinction from 1914 to 1918.
