Morena Gallizio

Morena Gallizio Tescari ( born January 18, 1974 in Bolzano as Morena Gallizio ) is a former Italian alpine skier from Hafling South Tyrol.

Career

1988 won the Trofeo Topolino Gallizio. They celebrated their first major success at the Junior World Championships: 1991, she won the silver medal in the slalom, followed in 1992 the silver medal in the Super -G. The most successful she was at the Junior World Championship 1993 in Monte Campione / Colere, where she won gold medals in slalom and in the combination and the silver medal in the giant slalom.

In the World Cup, it reached a total of three podiums. On January 24, 1993, she was in the slalom in the house in the Enns Valley Third, in March 1993, it was the combination of Hafjell second. On December 12, 1993, he was in the slalom in Veysonnaz another second place.

For major events, it was enough just not to medals. At the 1993 World Championships in Morioka she went as a 19- year-old in Salom fifth. 1997 in Sestriere, she finished fourth in the combination and seventh in the slalom. At the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, she finished fourth in the combination and fifth place in the Super -G. In Nagano in 1998, she was fifth in the combination.

After the 1999/2000 season Gallizio ended her sports career. She is married to the former ski racer Fabrizio Tescari.
