Mornans

Mornans is a commune in the Drôme department in the Rhône -Alpes.

Geography

The municipality has an area of ​​Mornans 11.72 km ² and comprises a portion of the French Alpine foothills. The village settlement is situated in a wide Talkehle, made of Roubion, a tributary of the Rhone. The highest point is 1307 meters with the top of the mountain chain of Saou the north of the municipal territory. Mornans is 2.3 km north of Bourdeaux, about 16 km south-east of Crest and almost 30 km east of Montelimar (in straight line ).

Mornans with 74 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) one of the smaller communities in the department of Drôme. In 1962, the municipality still 77 residents.
