Morris Peterson

Morris Peterson ( born August 26, 1977 in Flint, Michigan ) is a retired American professional basketball player.

Peterson began his career with the college team from Michigan State University, which he led to the championship of the NCAA in 2000. In 2001 he was appointed to the NBA All- Rookie First Team.

After the departure of Vince Carter, he assumed the position of small forward on the team the Toronto Raptors and was for years a nominal starter.

He has increased rapidly and now starts for the Raptors. In the NBA season 05/ 06 he came up with an average score of 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists at.

Since Morris Peterson could not fulfill the expectations of the Raptors in the 06/07 season, his contract was not renewed. He signed a four-year contract with the New Orleans Hornets. For the NBA season 2010/11 he moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder, in which he played a total of just four games. Since the NBA season 2011/12 he was no longer in the squad.
