Mosque of Sheikh Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim

The Mosque Ibrahim Ibn Abdul Aziz Al- Ibrahim or Caracas Mosque is a mosque situated in the district of Parroquia El Recreo, Caracas. It is the second largest mosque in Latin America, surpassed only by the Built in 2000, King Fahd Islamic Cultural Center in Buenos Aires.

The construction of the mosque Ibrahim Ibn Abdul Aziz Al- Ibrahim was started in 1989 under the patronage of Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Abdulaziz, the architect was Zuheir Fayez. The building covers an area of ​​5,000 m², the minaret has a height of 113 meters, the dome has an interior height of 23 meters. The mosque was opened in 1993 to the public and can accommodate 3500 worshipers.

In Caracas, there are an estimated 50,000 Muslims who are of Arab origin in their majority.
