Mostar Sevdah Reunion

Mostar Sevdah Reunion is a folk music ensemble from Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The Mostar Sevdah Reunion plays almost exclusively Sevdalinka. The band was founded in 1998 by Dragi Šestić, which brought together a group of local, talented and experienced musicians. In summer 1999, the first album could be recorded. Since then, the group has participated in numerous world music festivals and won some awards.

The band members are: Miso Petrovic ( lead guitar ), Sandi Duraković (guitar), Nermin Alukić Čerkez (vocals and guitar), Marko Jakovljević ( bass), Gabrijel Prusina (piano), Senad Trnovac (drums) and Vanja Radoja (violin).

Mostar Sevdah Reunion has worked with renowned musicians in the field of gypsy music: Two albums with Saban Bajramovic grit removal, two more two albums with Ljiljana Buttler Ljiljana frequently toured with the band until her death in 2010.
