Mother Earth (band)

Mother Earth is an American blues-rock band of the late 1960s and early 1970s from Texas. Singer Tracy Nelson founded the band after moving to the U.S. west coast.

The band came on, inter alia, at the Fillmore West and toured with Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Burdon. 1968 appeared on the soundtrack to the film Revolution a first receptacle; Mother Earth then received a contract with Mercury Records. There, they released seven albums before Nelson pursued a solo career.
