  • Fold-out keyboard
  • Keyboard layout QWERTY

The Motorola Backflip is a smartphone by Motorola with Android 1.5, which is available in Germany since April 2010.

The most striking feature of backflips is the fold-out QWERTY keyboard that comes from behind when folding the keyboard to light. The keyboard is on the left above the lens of the 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and an LED photo light. The Motorola Backflip has the typical features of a smartphone like: WLAN IEEE 802.11b / g, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0 EDR, EDGE, GSM, GPRS and an A - GPS receiver. The touch screen of backflips is capacitive, but does not support multi-touch, as it has the old version of the Android operating system.

An update to Android 2.1 " Eclair " should follow in the third quarter of 2010. This announcement, however, was revised by Motorola in part. An upgrade to a higher version than 1.5 " Cupcake " is not provided except for the U.S. market.
