Motorola DynaTAC

The DynaTAC 8000X Motorola was the world's first commercial mobile phone. DynaTAC was the abbreviation of Dynamic Adaptive Total Area Coverage.

In 1973, Motorola launched at Martin Cooper development, on September 21, 1983 received its FCC approval 10 years later in the form of the DynaTAC 8000X. It weighed about 800 g and measured 33 × 4.5 × 8.9 cm. At the time, it still cost U.S. $ 3,995 (equivalent to inflation-adjusted current 9,712 U.S. dollars) and had a talk time of about one hour.
