The Mount Aspiring or Tititea is a mountain in the Southern Alps on the South Island of New Zealand. With an altitude of 3,033 meters it is the highest elevation on New Zealand undisputed territory outside the Aoraki massif represents the Maori name Tititea means " Glittering Summit".

On the mountain climbing tours can be taken and in winter it provides excellent conditions for winter sports. Starting point for all activities related to the mountain is the nearby village of Wanaka. Since 1964, the entire area is protected by the Mount Aspiring National Park, which occupies an area of 3,555 km ² and together with other protected areas that is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site declared as Te Wahipounamu. The Tititea / Mount Aspiring every year attracts many tourists. In addition, the mountain for a scene for the film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings trilogy by Peter Jackson has been selected.
