Mount Eisenhower

Mount Eisenhower (formerly Mount Pleasant ) is a 1,451 m high mountain in the Presidential Range in the White Mountains (New Hampshire ), which was named after the U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Ways

The Crawford Path, part of the Appalachian Trail runs near the summit on the mountain. He separates himself from the summit trail to 4,400 ft ( 1,341 m) high, 0.3 mi (0.48 km) south of the summit, and take back 0.3 mi ( 0 km ) northeast of the summit after overcoming a difference in altitude of 40 ft (12 m ) on it and finally encounters the maximum height of 4,520 ft ( 1,378 m).

The shortest path to the top is from a parking lot at the Mount Clinton Road west-northwest mainly via the Edmands Path. Several routes start from starting points that are more or less southwest of U.S. Highway 302; the most used (possibly approximately equal in popularity with the Edmands route) is the Crawford Path from a parking lot at the Mount Clinton Road, near U.S. Highway 302 and just north of the Highland Center in the area around Crawford Notch. Mount Monroe is on the mountain range northeast of Mount Eisenhower and Mount Pierce in the southwest. All three of the peaks are listed on the peak -bagging list of Four -thousand footers in New Hampshire. Mount Franklin, an " unofficial " summit ( which is not on the list because of its too low saddle height), located between Mount Eisenhower and Mount Monroe.
