Mount King William

The King William Range is a mountain range in the center of the Australian state of Tasmania. The mountain range is located at the northeast corner of Franklin - Gordon Wild Rivers National Park, southwest of Lake King William.
It consists of three mountains, Mt King William I. -42.224166666667146.138333333331324, 1324 m high, in the north on the Lyell Highway (A10 ), Mount King William II -42.304166666667146.143333333331361, 1361 m high, in the middle and the Mount King William III. -42.4146.151172, 1,172 meters high, in the south.
The Mount King William I. marks the entry of the Lyell Highway in the uninhabited area between Franklin - Gordon Wild Rivers National Park and Cradle Mountain - Lake St. Clair National Park. Mountains and lake were named by Sir John Franklin on his expedition in 1842 by three Dutch kings.
William Piguenit (1836-1914) painted the mountain range in the 1880s.
