The Nemërçka ( Albanian: Nemërçkë, Greek Δούσκο, Νεμέρτσικα or Αεροπός, Dousko, Nemertsika, Aeropos ) is a long mountain Stock in southern Albania and - small parts - in Northern Greece south of Përmet. The highest point is the Maja e Papingut with müa 2485, which was formerly called Maja e Dritës ( light peak). Thus the Nemërçka is the highest elevation of the Albanian Epirus, only the Grammos in the Pindus Mountains on the Greek-Albanian border in southern Albania is even higher. The highest point of Nemërçka on Greek soil is at 2198 meters; at this point reaches the western flank of the hoisting limit the ridge and follow it to the south and later in more and more to the east. To the north of the ridge forms the border between the districts of Gjirokastra in the west and in the east Përmet.

The mountain is part of the Trëbëshinj - Dhëmbel - Nëmerçka mountain range, a powerful anticline of lime with a Flyschmantel. The Nemërçka forms the southern part of this mountain range, then to the 2,050 meter high Dhëmbel and separated from it by the 600 -meter-deep incision of the Dhëmbel Pass. The mountain stretches for about 22 kilometers as graders ridge from southeast to northwest. On the east side of the mountain from the Valley of Vjosa is bounded to the west by the parallel to the mountain running syncline Zagori and Pogon, which will be completed by the anticline of Lunxhëria - Buretoja - mountain range in the west.

The mountain falls on both sides from very steep. Eindrücklick is particular characterized by steep cliffs east wall that drop to more than 2000 meters below Vjosa. On the west side of the ridge is flat, but the edge between altitudes from 1100 to 1800 meters is very steep.

In the summit area and on the eastern flank, where part until the fall of snow, there are traces of Ice Age glaciation.

The largest village on the mountain is Poliçan in Albania, capital of the province Pogon that lies at the southwest foot of the mountain. The terrain in the region Pogon is rather inhospitable, sparsely populated and fairly rich vegetation with remnants of primitive oak forests. The mountain range is sparsely used as grazing land. On the steep eastern side of the few villages are situated on the mountain foot in Vjosatal.
