Mount Paget is with 2934 meters the highest mountain of South Georgia and thus also the highest peak of the British overseas territories. He is heavily glaciated.
He is a saddle-shaped mountain and marks the highest point of the Allardyce Range in the middle of South Georgia. Among mountaineers, he is due to its extreme conditions (extreme weather changes ) to be extremely difficult to compelling summit and was therefore only climbed by a handful of people. Even the simplest route forces the climber to the snow and ice climbing.
