Mount Taylor is a 856 meter high hill in Australia and is on the territory of the capital Canberra. It is part of the Canberra Nature Park and separates the boroughs Woden Valley, Weston Creek and Tuggeranong from each other. To top up a hiking trail, but no road.

The hill was named after the sheep farmer James Taylor, who settled in the area before 1829. He was a son of Colonel George Johnston, of the New South Wales Corps commanded and 1808 during the Rum Rebellion Governor William Bligh deposed.

Together with the Oakey Hill, the Wanniassa Hills and Isaacs Ridge forms the Mount Taylor a ridge that marks the south of Canberra crucial. On the hill are many endangered animal and plant species to be found. The existing since 1989 Club "Mt Taylor Park Care Group " removes the weeds, monitored the bird population and organizes guided tours of the park.
