Mount Veeder AVA

Mt Veeder AVA ( American Viticultural Area or Mount Veeder, recognized since December 13, 1993) is an American Viticultural Area in the U.S. state of California and is part of the regional Napa Valley AVA. Much of the vineyards are located at the foot of the Mayacamas Mountains. Due to the steepness of the terrain, the vines are more exposed to the sun and the soil is well drained. Because the soil of volcanic origin, however, the temperature difference between day and night is still sufficiently high to produce good quality wines.
