Mouth mirror

A mouth mirror, dental mirror also, is a dental instrument for the examination of the oral cavity, particularly the inner sides of the teeth. It consists of a handle and a generally removable mirror. The material used for the handles in different shapes ergonomic stainless steel and plastic are common.

When the mirrors are different ( "Front Surface" ) between behind the glass ( " back surface " ) and applied before the glass reflective layers. The former are useful in normal lighting conditions for inspection and diagnostics. The latter are more suitable for dental work when bright conditions exist, because they are poorer reflex.
