Mozambique Current

The Mosambikstrom in the Indian Ocean transports warm waters southward along the east coast of southern Africa. It runs somewhere between Madagascar and Mozambique and passes into the Agulhas Current.

The famous Garden Route in South Africa benefited from the warm waters of the stream, as the local flora thus far blossom into the winter.

The causes of the flow are currently considered not yet sufficiently researched.
