Mubende District
Mubende is a district (municipality) in central Uganda with 436 493 inhabitants. Like almost all 78 districts of Uganda, he is named after its chief town. Until 1 July 2005, the district was one of Mityana Mubende.
Kaweri coffee plantation
In Mubende district lies with the Kaweri plantation, the first coffee -scale plantation in Uganda, which is provided by the Ugandan government as a model for agricultural development in the country. This project was conducted in collaboration with the German Neumann Kaffee Gruppe or its Ugandan subsidiary. Approximately 2,000 small farmers had to give without receiving adequate compensation of coffee plantation.
