Mugison

Mugison ( Örn Elías Guðmundsson actually; born September 4, 1976) is an Icelandic musician and singer who usually occurs as a one man band. Lately, he is touring under the name Mugison with a full band. Mugison studied in London music production.

2004 Mugison received the Icelandic Music Award. The album Mugimama, Is This Monkey Music? was chosen as the best album and the song Murr Murr for Best Song.

Mugison got his nickname while he was with his father Muggi ( Muggur ) in Malaysia was. His father is a karaoke singer. Since the audience had trouble expressing his Icelandic name, he was named Mugison, which means in Icelandic " the son Muggis ".

Mugison candidate in the general election to the Althing in Iceland in 2013 for the party in the constituency Björt framtid Norðvesturkjördæmi. But was able to win no seats framtid Björt in his constituency.
