Muhammed Taher Pasha

Muhammed Taher Pasha (* 1879, † 1970) was an Egyptian physician and the founder of the Mediterranean Games.

He was Chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Egypt and a member of the IOC from 1952 to 1957. 1948 he struck the Mediterranean countries, a private sporting competition, similar to the Olympic Games to host. The first Mediterranean Games took place in 1951 then.
