Geography
Geographical Location
The community is located 15 kilometers south of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz directly on the Main -Danube Canal. The Sulz flows through Mulhouse from north to south, and then enters the Altmühltal leading to the Val di Sole.

History
Mühlhausen belonged to the realm dominion Sulzbürg. With the extinction of the Wolfenstein the realm dominion Sulzbürg - Pyrbaum fell (and thus the territory of the present municipality Mühlhausen) 1740/68 with all rights to the Electorate of Bavaria. see also Obersulzbürg castle ruins, the ruins Niedersulzbürg, Provost's grave
Incorporations
On January 1, 1972, until then independent municipality Kruppach was incorporated. On July 1, 1972 Bachhausen was added from the dissolved district Beilngries. Wappersdorf came on 1 January 1974 to Mulhouse. On January 1, 1976, the market Sulzbürg followed with parts of the disbanded on 1 January 1972 community Oberndorf.

Coat of arms
Blazon: Shared by red and gold; above a silver bowl with two lying on it, cut into pieces of blue fish, below under half red mill wheel.
The emblem has been used since 1977.
Twinning
Since the year 1998, the community maintains a partnership with the municipality of Isola Vicentina in Italy.

Museums
Mooslandl Museum in the district Sulzbürg, a local history museum depicting the history of the region.
Monuments
Near Mulhouse leads the Built 1846 Ludwig-Danube- Main Canal over. In the summer months there is a possibility the Ludwig-Danube- Main Canal with the Treidelschiff Alma Victoria to drive as it was 150 years ago.

Regular events
Sulzbürger Garden Summit: Every year on the first Sunday after Pentecost, the family recreational and conference venue Sulzbürg loads under the auspices of District laborers to the garden summit on Sulzbürg. Most more than 25 regional exhibitors, comprehensive program, talks to expand the garden knowledge and culinary delights invite. Entrance fees are the charitable action " Monday Phone " fed.
Economy and infrastructure
In Mühlhausen tin toys and model trains were manufactured especially for N scale by the company Arnold and delivered all over the world for many years.
Solar Park
The 6.3 megawatt solar park in Mühlhausen ( solar parks Bavaria ) is located right next to the Rhine -Main -Danube Canal and provides approximately 6750 MWh of electricity per year. He is currently one of the largest solar parks in the world.
