Mumbai-Marathon

The Mumbai Marathon ( official name Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon to the title sponsor, Standard Chartered Bank) is the most important marathon of India in terms of numbers of participants and the elite starter. It takes place in Mumbai since 2004. Besides the full 42.195 - km route to the program also includes a half marathon, a dream run without timing about 6 km, a Senior Citizens ' Run over 4.3 kilometers and a racing wheelchair over 2.5 km.

The start and finish of all routes is before the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. After a mile you will reach the coast road, the first a short distance turning point is passed to the south. After four kilometers, it goes on a long haul turning point in the north. For the half-marathon runners of the turning point is just behind the Nehru Centre, the marathon runners put another 10 km towards north back before they turn around.
