München-Heimeranplatz station

The Heimeranplatz is an urban square in Munich. Due to its central location in Munich's Westend he is one of the hubs of the district. Under the square runs without crossing the Middle ring through.

Location

The site is located on the western edge of the district 8 Schwanthalerhoehe near the border to the municipality 7 Sendling -Westpark, which here extends along the railway facilities of the Munich Südring.

Name

The name refers to Emmeram of Regensburg, where Heimeran is the original form of the Old High German Latinized name Emmeram men.

Road

Under the Heimeranplatz through a section of the Middle Ring runs. Here goes the Garmisch road over the Trappentreu road that leads through the Trappentreutunnel Donnersbergerbrücke in the further course. The place is connected by its own access and exit to the middle ring.

Cross to the middle ring runs Ridlerstraße that connects the West with the more southern city district 6 Sendling. The overground running part of the Trappentreustraße and Heimeranstrasse open the Municipality Schwanthalerhoehe from the Heimeranplatz.

Rail transport

The Munich Heimeranplatz station has a siebengleisige railway layout with three platform edges. The station is served by the S7 line of Wolfratshausen to cross street and from the line S20, the Munich S-Bahn, which operates from Munich - Pasing Höllriegelskreuth.
