Munich Serbian Psalter

The Serbian Psalter (Codex Monacensis Slavicus 4) is the main work of medieval book illumination in Serbia. Erected in the late 14th century for Stefan Lazarević, it is often through its 148 full-page miniatures a singular testimony of Serbian Orthodoxy. Until 1688 the monastery Pribinov Glava in the Fruska Gora he came in the wake of the Turkish wars in the possession of Wolfgang Heinrich von Gemell to Flischbach, the 1689 gave the code to the monastery of God Zell in the Bavarian Forest, from where he came in 1782 to the monastery of Saint Emmeram in Regensburg. Today it is located in the Eastern Europe of the Bavarian State Library in Munich.
