Municipality of Gorišnica

Gorišnica ( German: St. Margaret in Gorischnitz ) is a municipality in the Spodnja Štajerska region in Slovenia.

Location and population

In the overall community consisting of eleven villages and hamlets 3937 people live. The main town Gorišnica alone has 738 inhabitants. The community is located 12 km east of Ptuj in the Ptuj ( Ptuj field) at the edge of wine country Haloze ( Kollo ), bordering Croatia.
