Municipality of Videm

Videm ( German: Sankt Veit ) is a municipality and a town in the historical region of Lower Styria in Slovenia.

Geography

The municipality covers an area of 80.2 km ² and is bordered on the west by the municipalities Majšperk and Kidričevo, on the north by the municipality Hajdina and the Municipality of Ptuj, the east with the municipalities Markovci Cirkulane, to the south by the municipalities Žetale and Podlehnik as well as to the neighboring Croatia.

The municipality is located south of the Drava River and has worked with the north of the drann / dravinjska nearby settlements polje share in the flat and extended Drava and Ptuj field / Drava - Ptuj. The southern and eastern municipality, with the widely scattered settlements, occupies a considerable part of the hilly and rich wine Kollos / Haloze. In the west, the municipality contacts the " Waldhaloze " and foothills of the hill country on the drann / Dravinjske gorice.

The highest point of the municipality with 503 m oa is located in the settlement area of Velika Varnica in the secluded sanctuary of St. Augustin / Sv. Avguštin, near the border with Croatia, the deepest place, with 209 m oa, is located on the estuary of the drann in the Drava in the local hall of Dravci.
