The Old Munster ( in the vernacular: Backwater ) is a small tributary of the Lech in Bavaria and belongs to the river system of the Danube.

Course

The origin is located in the municipality of Thierhaupten right of the Lech. The course leads always parallel to the Lech mostly in the Lechauen past the barrages Ellgau and Oberpeiching. In the near Münster opens an outflow of the local fishing pond in the river. Over a distance of approximately one kilometer, the Friedberger Ach flows approximately parallel to the Old Münsterer flows south-west of Oberpeiching in Lech.
