Muntz metal
As Muntzmetall is called a brass places. It is named after the English industrialist George Fredric Muntz, who had patented 1832 alloy, then industrially recycled.
Muntzmetall is a malleable cast brass that consists of 60 % copper, 40 % zinc and possibly traces of iron. It was used in particular to protect wooden hulls from fouling (fouling ).
