Geographical location

Murr is located in the natural area Neckarbecken in 196-261 meters altitude at the Murr, two kilometers from its mouth into the Neckar river and removed about 12 km north of the county town of Ludwigsburg. An uninhabited enclave in the Hardt forest at Rielingshausen is the natural space allocated to the Swabian- Franconian Forest.

History

The lower Bitzer, and thus the area of ​​the municipality is Murr, inhabited since thousands of years. First archaeological finds date from the Neolithic period and extend to the Roman period. Coat of arms and flag

Economy and infrastructure
