Müsahiplik

Musâhiplik or Müsahiplik ( Turkish for " wake ", " spiritual brotherhood " ) is in Alevism a covenant between two men of the same age, most of their wives are included. In a ceremony in the presence of Dedes, the two partners explain a lifelong commitment to each other to protect and to care for the needs of the children of the other. The relationship between Müsahiplik partners is at least as strong as blood relatives, so Müsâhiplik is often called spiritual brotherhood ( manevi kardeşlik ). The children of the allies may not marry each other.

The Turkmen Tahtaci relate consider ( four goals) on the " first goal " ( şeriat ) that they as a prerequisite for the "second gate" ( tarikat ) müsâhiplik in the concept of Dort Kapı. Those who by the third goal ( marifet, " gnosis " ) want to have to stay for at least twelve years in a müsâhiplik relationship. The entrance through the third gate dissolves the müsâhiplik relationship in a ceremony called Öz Verme Ayini ( " ceremony, giving up " ) (which usually is until death ) on.
