The diver - grape hyacinth ( Muscari aucheri ) is a flowering plant in the genus of grape hyacinths ( Muscari ) of the family of asparagus plants ( Asparagaceae ). It is rarely used as an ornamental plant.

Features

The diver - grape hyacinth is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches the heights of growth 5-30 centimeters. This Geophyt forms onions as outlasting. Two to three leaves are in a basal rosette. They are parallel-veined, 5 to 20 centimeters long, 0.2 to 1.5 centimeters wide, crescent- shaped, not ripped and oberseits blue-green.

The racemose inflorescence is 1 to 3 inches long, 0.7 to 1.2 inches wide and compact, even for fruit time. There are sterile, Short-stalked flowers and fertile, 1 to 2.5 mm long stalked flowers on each inflorescence. The fertile flowers have a length of 3 to 5 mm and a diameter of 2.5 to 5 millimeters; they are spherical to verkehrteiförmig and sky blue ( rarely white ) colored. The Perigonzipfel are white or pale blue.

The flowering period extends from March to April.

Occurrence

This species occurs in Turkey, with the exception of the southeastern and northwestern parts of the country. They can be found on rocky slopes, limestone gravel and mountain pastures at altitudes of 1,000 to 3,000 meters, sometimes with pines ( Pinus ) and juniper (Juniperus ).
