Musée d'art moderne et d'art contemporain

The Musée d' Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain ( MAMAC ) is a French Museum of Modern Art. It is located on the Promenade des Arts in Nice. It was opened in 1990. The building was designed by Yves Bayard.

The collection includes about 400 works from the period since the 1960s. These include works of the new realists Yves Klein, César, Arman, Niki de Saint- Phalle, Pop Art artist Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, the Fluxus group ( Ben Vautier ), the minimal and conceptual art, the School of Nice, the group support surfaces and the Nice individualists Ernest Pignon -Ernest and Ernest Gilli.
