Museo Nacional de Arte, Mexico City

The Museo Nacional de Arte (Spanish; abbreviated munal ) is a Since 1982, the National Museum of Art in the historic center of Mexico City, supported by the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes.

First Technical Director of the Museum was the artist Helen Escobedo.

Collection

The collection comprises over 3,000 works in the munal and are primarily an insight into the art history of the country from the 16th century to the first half of the 20th century, but also in the Mexican contemporary art. To this end, the museum has an exhibition area of ​​around 5,000 m².
