Mutara II Rwogera

Mutara Rwogera II († 1853) was in the first half of the 19th century king ( mwami ) of the Kingdom of Rwanda.

Life

He belonged to the people of the Tutsi and reigned from 1802 to 1853 (data uncertain). Under him and his successor Kigeri IV the kingdom reached the height of its power. Since the 1840s, Rwanda had several wars against its neighbors.
