Mūza Rubackytė ( born May 19, 1959 in Kaunas) is a Lithuanian pianist and music teacher.
Life
Mūza Rubackytės great-grandmother, mother and aunt were pianists, the grandfather orchestra conductor and mathematician. Her father was an opera singer. Rubackytė grew up in Žaliakalnis. From 1965 to 1973 she studied at the Čiurlionis art school in Vilnius. From 1973 to 1976 studied at the LSSR konservatorija ( at Jurgis Karnavičius ). In 1978 she graduated from the Moscow Conservatory with Yakov Vladimirovich Flier and 1978-1981 Konservatoriumsasistentur - Stage (with M. Voskresenski ). Since 1978 she teaches at LSSR konservatorija. Since 1989 she is a professor at the Conservatoire Rachmaninoff in Paris and since 2003 at the Music and Theatre Academy of Lithuania.
