The Esperanza (Spanish: , Hope ') is a research vessel that is used by the political non-profit organization Greenpeace. It is with a length of 72.3 m, the largest vessel in the Greenpeace fleet and with a top speed of 14 knots, it was up to the commissioning of the Rainbow Warrior III ( end of 2011) and the fastest Greenpeace ship. Particulars

The ship was built in 1984 as Vikhr 4 as the fourth unit of a comprehensive series of eight vessels in the Gdansk Shipyard Shipyard Polnocna and served until 1998 as a fire ship of the Soviet oil industry.
