MxPx

MxPx is an American punk band that was formed in 1992 in Bremerton in Washington state. At the time of the band's formation was the band Magnified Plaid, but was unceremoniously in MP renamed. Instead of the points you used small x and so changed the name to MxPx.

Mike Arthur Herrera

  • Born November 6, 1976 in Bremerton, Washington
  • Half - Mexican.
  • Lead vocals, bass guitar, keyboard, rhythm guitar, songwriter

1991 Mike started to play bass after he was enthusiastic about the local punk scene. Six months later, he also started playing the guitar, and he soon himself wrote songs. According to his own testimony, they had very little variety and gruesome lyrics about his teenage problems. He took the songs still using cassette recorder on his sister and thus completed his first tape.

Yuri Zane Ruley

  • Born on June 3, 1976 in Seattle, also in Washington
  • Drums, percussion

As Yuri was still young, his family moved around often. He lived in Alabama, Oklahoma, Idaho and at various locations in Washington. In the ninth grade he started playing drums. His first appearance was with the band " The Skinny Little White Boys" at a talent show of the ninth grade. However, the band consisted of only two months. Later, he met Mike and Andy, who were looking for a drummer. They came to his house, played a few songs and have to MxPx.

Thomas Edmund Wisniewski

  • Born on October 20, 1976 in Dunnoon (Scotland )
  • Lead guitar, backing vocals

He lived the first six months in Dunnoon (Scotland ), his father was in the army and therefore they moved to Honolulu, Hawaii to his family in Bremerton, Washington settled. At age 13, he really began to be interested in music. A friend of the family played drums, and in the second as Tom looking at him, it became clear what he wants to do his whole life to him playing drums in a band. He got a used drum set and was in a school band. He played for about four years for various bands drums. He also spent much time with Mike and Yuri, who sought a new guitarist. Tom was playing guitar just for fun and because the people with whom he spent time, it did, he can not collect any experience in the professional sector. However, he still was able to bring himself to play the guitar on tour for MxPx.
